The VHF Head End Combiner/Splitter is used to connect 16 VHF Repeater Channels to 4 Arterials going into the mine. The Repeaters receive the Uplink signals from the Arterial and Re-Transmit the signal on a Downlink Frequency back into the Arterials providing communication between personell above ground and underground.
